With this initiative, INPI also allows the identification of new technologies that can be quickly used by the society, stimulating its licensing and encouraging the country’s innovation.

The Green Patents pilot program started on April 17th, 2012, and its third phase finished on April 16th, 2016. After December 6th, 2016, INPI started offering a priority exam of requests related to green technologies as a service.
