The complete equipment consists of: a thermal unit for waste treatment, a waste feeding unit, a by-product collection unit, a gas treatment unit, and a chimney.
The shipping cost for the equipment will be quoted separately and may later be incorporated into the total contract value.
The transportation of equipment depends on the installation location and the equipment's capacity. For freight within the state of São Paulo, the delivery time can reach up to 5 days for equipment weighing up to 5 tons/day.
One-year warranty for any type of problems, repairs, and corrections. After this period, replacement parts and components will be quoted separately.
It is permitted to take out insurance for the equipment, for example, against electrical failure and fire.
It is estimated that, if all maintenance is up to date and the equipment is used correctly, the equipment's lifespan exceeds 25 years.
There is a standard membership agreement valid throughout the national territory. For international markets, we have a distributor agreement.
Within the national territory, there is no exclusivity for the area of operation. Exclusivity is granted to the client in negotiations.

Once released by Solum, the equipment can be traded anywhere in the world.
The minimum manufacturing time for a piece of equipment is 8 months, which can be extended to 10 months if there is a need to develop any special functionality.
Maintenance is performed monthly, and the cost is 2% per year of the equipment's value. All maintenance is the responsibility of Solum Ambiental's technicians.
The costs of deploying and installing the equipment, which include transportation, travel, food, and lodging for the entire assembly team, are budgeted separately and incorporated into the contract. These costs depend on the installation location and equipment capacity.

Duo Therm technology allows for the processing of any type of waste without the need for separation. At the end of the process, in stage 1, the waste is transformed into a dry sludge, and in the second stage it can be liquefied due to the high temperature inside the reactor. Two independent thermal sources produce heat in the range of 900°C to 1100°C in the first source, and 800 to 950°C in the second source, which is powered by electricity, with a gas residence time of around 3 to 6 seconds. The waste exposed to a temperature gradient inside the Vorax reactor is disintegrated into elements (carbon, oxygen, hydrogen), simple compounds (carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and water vapor), among others.
Much of this material can be melted, forming a liquid phase that is directed to the bottom of the reactor and recovered by a byproduct extraction system. Heavy materials such as cadmium, for example, are added to the crystalline structure of this matrix. Metallic material such as iron forms a second, ferrous matrix, with a higher density than the ceramic, and is separated from it. The gaseous effluent is then directed to a complete gas cleaning system, consisting of dry scrubbing and filters. All byproducts of the process are collected in the collection systems and sent for proper disposal.
The feeding is automatic. Once the waste is transported to the feeder, no manual contact is required for the process to continue.

No. The equipment's feeding system is designed according to the company's operation. Feeding is the most important process in waste treatment and must be aligned with the client's routine.
Sensors, valves, gaskets, and pumps are some of the components that may need to be replaced during maintenance.
The equipment identifies and displays all temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and levels on the operating HMI.
The operator has access via a touch screen installed on the equipment, called an HMI, Human-Machine Interface. This is an application that facilitates and makes communication between the operator and the equipment more efficient.
The maintenance plan, which includes all replacement parts and the equipment's shutdown schedule, is delivered along with the equipment manual during the implementation period. It covers predictive, preventive, and, when necessary, corrective maintenance.
Yes. Our technology allows for the feeding and treatment of liquid waste.
We have found that shredding the waste results in increased efficiency in waste treatment, increasing the contact area between the waste and the heat, minimizing melting time, and maximizing performance. Currently, we work with shredded waste in 5 cm² chunks.

It is possible to treat any type of waste, with the exception of explosive and radioactive waste and waste with a melting point above 1,500°C.

In the first stage, a type of dry, flocculated material, or dry sludge, is formed; it has class II B characteristics and can be used in cementitious compounds.
Technically, construction is possible. However, environmental legislation does not allow this mobile process to be licensed. For mobile units, treatment capacity is significantly reduced.
The equipment does not generate ash; it produces a dry flaked material or dry sludge, class II A, which is non-hazardous and can be melted in a second stage, being transformed into non-hazardous or inert ceramic or metallic matrices.
There is no need to sort the waste. The equipment treats any type of waste without the need for any kind of separation.
It is possible to install a gaseous effluent monitor using a probe installed in the chimney. The monitor reads and indicates the gaseous levels during operation.
Yes. Solum will provide all types of documents to assist with environmental licensing, but environmental licensing is the client's responsibility, from the initial application to obtaining the license. The competent authority analyzes the treatment process used, the product to be processed, and the processing location.
The 2 ton/day equipment is licensed by CETESB (Environmental Company of the State of São Paulo) in São José dos Campos – SP for local operation.
Yes. All gases from the process are within legal limits according to CONAMA (National Council for the Environment).
To neutralize toxic gases, the machine is equipped with a German-technology dry gas scrubber (without the use of water). To retain particulate matter, the system uses German bag filters, and at the end of the process, the gases are released into the atmosphere as vapor and are completely non-toxic.
Solum's equipment is licensed, proving that the process is licensable. Solum is responsible for monitoring the process and sharing all environmental technical information and documentation to contribute to and collaborate with the environmental licensing from beginning to end. If necessary, we can participate in person in meetings to make decisions with the competent authorities. Solum's licensing process is available and can be accessed whenever requested.
We have made available for consultation documentation such as the technical specifications of the process, equipment specifications, environmental licenses, gaseous effluent analyses, by-product analyses, and the environmental licensing manual.
We work with a specialized environmental consulting firm that handles all our licensing and technical environmental matters. If needed, it is possible to hire this consulting firm separately.
The byproducts, after being drastically reduced, can be taken to regular landfills, or, if they are inert, they can be used in flowerbeds or gardens.
Carbon monoxide, dioxins, and furans are virtually neutralized during the combustion and post-combustion process within the reactor's thermal unit. Using air injection and quenching techniques, we have been able to drastically lower the levels of these gases after their formation.
They can be used as aggregates in construction products such as bricks, blocks, paving stones, asphalt mixes, and leveling mixes.
